In one of our latest ventures, Blue Sky Landscaping and Designs had the opportunity to collaborate with some exceptionally talented businesses to bring a vision to life. This project centred around a stunning off-form concrete modernist build, where we were tasked with crafting gardens for two luxury dual occupancies. The challenge was to soften the stark modernity of the concrete with natural landscaping elements, creating a harmonious balance that enhances the property's unique architecture.
The key to achieving this delicate balance was in the careful selection of materials and plantings. We opted for black mulch, natural limestone pavers, and an abundance of heavy green plantings. The black mulch provides a striking contrast that highlights the vibrant green of the plants, creating a visual depth that draws the eye. The use of natural limestone pavers adds a touch of elegance and warmth, seamlessly bridging the gap between the man-made structure and the natural beauty of the garden.
Our approach was to create an outdoor space that feels like a natural extension of the modernist architecture, rather than a separate entity. The heavy green plantings play a crucial role in this, bringing life and colour to the space. They serve not only as a visual enhancement but also as a way to create a sense of privacy and tranquillity within the urban environment. These lush green spaces offer a serene escape, a place where the residents can connect with nature without stepping away from the comfort of their modern home.
Working on these luxury dual occupancies was a rewarding experience, showcasing our ability to adapt and innovate in the face of design challenges.
